MONROVIA, Calif. – Moran’s August 25 Studio Decorative Art auction is packed with fine furnishings, décor, tableware, Asian works of art, and many other items collectors will find irresistible. From Asian to Arts & Crafts, Continental to American Indian, this sale truly has something for every taste, and bidding couldn’t be more convenient, either absentee or live online through LiveAuctioneers.

Fine tableware and cookware are sure to heat up the auction when they cross the auction block. A fine copper stockpot is perfect for preparing a trendy bone broth and will be offered with an approachable $300-$500 estimate. For those who want to get a jump on holiday entertaining, there are several sets of Steuben stemware from which to choose, and in all shapes and sizes.

A Yamaha baby grand piano in beautiful condition would make the perfect instrument for a novice or maestro and is entered with a $3,000-$5,000 estimate. An oak Globe and Wernicke Co. stacked lawyer’s case is one of the more unusual turn of the century offerings in the sale and is expected to bring $600-$900. A classic Louis XV-style giltwood settee would make a regal addition to any room and carries a $600-900 estimate.

Fine Chinese and Japanese furnishings and décor are in abundance in the auction. A skillfully carved cabinet that has been in the consignor’s family since the 1920s is one of Moran’s favorite pieces in the sale. It could reach $1,000-$2,000 estimate

A set of porcelain wedding jars consigned from the same collection would make a delightful gift for any newlyweds and is expected to bring between $1,000-$1,500. A delightful Sumida ware vase with applied birds and cherry blossoms should sell within its $600-$900 estimate.

Other highlights include a large Persian Kazvin area rug, $1,000-$2,000; a 1955 Cadillac 6223 Series four-door sedan, $3,000-$5,000; and a bronze figural clock/lamp, LeMerle-Charpentiers et Cie., $2,000-3,000.
