Art collectors around the globe have high regards for Christie’s renowned Design auctions, offering furniture, lighting, ceramics and sculpture from the late-19th century through to the present day. Encompassing all the major influential movements of this period, from art & crafts, art nouveau & art deco to mid-century, post-war and contemporary design, the department’s auctions offer some of the most important and iconic works of the last 150 years. 

Estimated to go up to $1.5 million is the majestic and imposing ‘Mouflon de Pauline’ Bar Cabinet (2007) by François-Xavier Lalanne. An extraordinary cabinet by Eugène Printz and Jean Dunand leads the French Art Deco chapter. The sale also features an iconic “Miss Blanche” chair by Shiro Kuramata, Les Oies and sheep by Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne and exceptional sculptures by Harry Bertoia. Christie’s Design auction will feature a curated selection of over 90 works ranging from the turn of the 20th century to contemporary designs. A curated selection of rare Tiffany Studios table lamps made with the brand’s signature leaded glass will also headline Christie’s design sale.  You can register for this sale here.
